About Dave Broom

Dave Broom is an internationally celebrated spirits expert. He has won two Glenfiddich prizes and, in 2013, the IWSC Communicator of the Year Award. In 2015, he won The Spirited Award for Best Cocktail & Spirits writer and in 2018, his book The Way of Whisky won an Andre Simon prize. In 2020 he was named Best Drinks Writer at the Fortnum & Mason awards. He has been a contributing editor to Whisky Magazine, Whisky Advocate and scotchwhisky.com. Dave's previous books include the first two editions of The World Atlas of Whisky, Whisky: The Manual, Gin: The Manual, Rum: The Manual, The Way of Whisky and A Sense of Place.
