Come join us once a month to celebrate the best of French Fiction in its original language!
We are delighted to announce the start of a new reading group for francophiles in Edinburgh. Our group will be reading winners of the prestigious Prix Goncourt, the Grand Prix de Elle, the Nobel Prize and more. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to practice their French with a book as well as a bookish talk. All chosen novels have been translated into English and can be read side by side with their translations. We nevertheless recommend an intermediate to advanced level of French, as conversation will mostly be led in French.
Over the course of the next six months, here are the novels we will be discussing:

Wed 12/06: Frère d'âme, by David Diop
Wed 24/07: Chanson douce, by Leïla Slimani

Sept Date TBC: Oscar et la dame rose, by Eric-Emmanuel Schmidt
