In The Art of Hutting, author Peter MacQueen takes his readers on an adventure learning how to live off-grid in modern Scotland. Showcasing the country's most beautiful huts and meeting their owners along the way, Peter will guide you on how to build your own cosy hut and develop all the skills needed to live self-sufficiently, making the most out of the Scottish seasons. Readers will learn how to:

• build a hut, from finding the right piece of land to designing the perfect hut
• grow a beautiful garden to sustain yourself seasonally
• chop and store wood, forage, fish and start a fire - and more practical skills to live off the land.

About Peter MacQueen

Born and raised in Oban on the west coast of Scotland, Peter MacQueen has lived his life in the outdoors. In 2018, Peter and his father built a hut overlooking the Isle of Seil. Since then, his passion for living off grid has blossomed. He presents his own BBC Alba TV show Garradh Phadruig from his hut.
