The tantalising new cookbook from Wahaca founder, Guardian Feast columnist, former Masterchef winner and Mexican food afficianado. We’re hugely happy to welcome food writer, Thomasina Miers back to Bath for a talk and demo.
Heap flavour onto your plates and fill your kitchen with Tommi’s Mexican-inspired vegetarian and vegan recipes. Starting with breakfasts to savour, Tommi then moves through mouth-watering tacos, spectacular salads, comforting enchiladas, dishes for speedy weeknight joy and a range of crowd-pleasers, all to be laden with smoky salsas, fiery chilli oils and earthy moles to layer texture and taste. With outrageously tempting cakes, tarts and puddings, plus a whole host of thirst-quenching drinks to see you from first light to sundown, there’s something for everyone here.
Wahaca won numerous awards for its food and sustainability credentials. Tommi’s passion lies in great food and how it can positively affect people and the environment: she co-founded the ‘Pig Idea’ campaign and helped set up Chefs in Schools. An ambassador for the Soil Association, she was awarded an OBE in 2019 for her services to the food industry. Tommi has a weekly column in the Guardian’s Feast magazine and Meat-free Mexican is her eighth cookery book.
