Our poetry reading group aims to introduce you to some of the most exciting works in contemporary poetry, curated by our poetry buyer, Laras.
We welcome all poetry lovers or those curious to read more of the form but don't know where to start. Spend an evening with us talking about books over a glass of wine and nibbles.

Breathing, moving, living on the page, CAConrad’s exhilarating book of poems, Listen to the Golden Boomerang Return, is centred on the (Soma)tic ritual, their celebrated practice which draws on nature, crystals, meditation and interactions with strangers to create an ‘extreme present’ of unfettered creativity from which poems can emerge.
Join us as we discuss the first collection in this series, this month led by one of the most exciting emerging British poets, William Gee.
William Gee is the author of Rheuma (Bad Betty Press, 2020) and Trust Fall (Out-spoken Press, 2023). He won an Eric Gregory Award in 2024. His work has been selected as the Poetry Book Society Pamphlet choice, and has been featured in journals including Poetry Review, Poetry London, Bath Magg, Sick and Tentacular, and on BBC Radio 4.
