Come and join us for an evening of Bath-based crime capers, with internationally bestselling author Jean Goodhind.

In Something In The Blood, Honey Driver – manager of a Bath hotel and collector of antique underwear – leads a life that is mundane, safe, and unexciting. Her personal life revolves around doing the housework and resisting her mother’s match-making efforts.

Without thinking anything of it, Honey lands the job of liaising with the police on behalf of Bath Hotels Association. But when an American tourist goes missing and Honey is called in to help, she finds herself drawn into a murder investigation with the inscrutably hostile DCI Steve Doherty. Along the way, she discovers there’s more to life than washing dishes, and more to murder than malice aforethought.

For many years, Jean Goodhind owned and ran a haunted guest house on the outskirts of Bath, and her experiences played a large part in inspiring the Honey Driver series. She has won a BBC Radio award for scriptwriting and has a regular column in the Western Daily Press.
