We welcome you into the Coastal Cornish Culinary world of Emily Scott.

Emily Scott's stunning restaurant, Emily Scott Food on Watergate Bay is one of the most magical places to enjoy local fish and seafood from Cornish waters. Expect roasted scallops with truffle butter, baked Cornish hake or half local lobster cooked over coals with Nduja butter & koffman fries.

Chef, restaurateur and the author of Sea & Shore and she was selected as one of the host chefs for the 2021 G7 summit in Cornwall.

We are excited to host Emily here at the bookshop to talk about and cook from her new cookbook, Time & Tide: Recipes and Stories from My Coastal Kitchen. She weaves together all the strands that influence and inspire her cooking; from the salt-scented air to the ever-changing shades of the water and the shapes and textures of the wild fennel and tamarisk plants that crowd in on the Cornish coastal path. These elements make for incredible dishes infused with creativity and a sense of place.

Emily's recipes reflect the ebb and flow of daily life during the year; from breakfasts of overnight oats and buttery crumpets to lunches of sea-herb focaccia, and from suppers of Cornish bouillabaisse to desserts of treacle tart and bramble and peach crumble. Each dish evokes something inherently special to Emily and the culinary delights of Cornwall.

A beautiful and soul-comforting book for anyone who loves to cook - Stanley Tucci

The gentle warmth and charm of this Cornish idyll pleases mightily - Jeremy Lee

Going through the pages is like sand through your fingers from the Cornish beaches. You can breathe the passion and taste the simplicity of Emily's ethos and the beautiful sea treasures. I just want to sit on the beach now to eat it all, heaven. Richard Bertinet

I love Emily's food. It is deeply rooted in the landscapes and ingredients of her Cornish home, and this beautiful collection - of which I want to eat every recipe - celebrates everything from that county's incredible seafood to gorse to seaweed to saffron and beyond. Mark Diacono
