It’s a huge pleasure to welcome Rick Stein back to Bath for his spectacular new India book, Rick Stein’s India. Tying in with a new BBC Two series, his search for the perfect curry takes him on an incredible journey through the Indian sub-continent to discover a feast of dishes influenced by India’s colourful history and religious communities.
In search of the soul of Indian food – the real flavours, ingredients and techniques that make up this fiery and fragrant cuisine, he samples Bhapa maach paturi (spicy steamed fish) in Calcutta, explores the impact of spicy Konkan cuisine on European settlers and trys his hand at a hot Tandoori grill.
Rick Stein is a vivacious and captivating speaker and this will be an extremely entertaining evening with Rick at the helm of the gas burner, cooking several of the dishes in the book and making our mouths water.
